Desiring God ~ Christian Hedonist.
Define: Christian Hedonism – Christianity fuelled by the overarching joy and pleasure of doing Christ’s will. This can only occur if you have been reborn. Christian Hedonism is the pinnacle experience that comes from grace alone.
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.… (Eph 2:8-10) – Jesus eludes to the to requirement of the rebirth in John 3:3 – and then further clarifies and highlights the rebirth requirement in John 3:5-8.
These words from our Lord “Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ ” (John 3:7) are crucial in every Christ believers path to experiencing the unimaginable joy that comes from being Christian.
